Kennedy has had a passion for dance and gymnastics from a very young age. She trained in gymnastics for six years, competitively for two years. She has been dancing since the young age of 3 and has been a competitive dancer since the age of 10. Kennedy has been a member of Team Canada and has received a Gold medal, a Silver medal and a Bronze medal. Kennedy has attended many workshops and has been trained by dancer/choreographers such as Everett Smith, David Cox, Matthew Clark, and more. She has been trained in Acro, Tumbling, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip- Hop, and Modern. She is fully certified in First Aid and CPR. Kennedy is a certified acro teacher and holds her module 3 acrobatic arts certificate. Kennedy attended Brock University for Concurrent Education. Kennedy has a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Studies and a Bachelor or Education. She competed with the Varsity Dance Team at Brock, The Brock Badgers Dance Pak, for 5 years. Kennedy has been a dance instructor/choreographer at EDC Dancers Inc./Expressions Dance Company since 2011. Kennedy has won many choreography awards at various dance competitions and was voted top 10 dance instructor with the Hamilton Spectator Readers Choice Awards 2017. Always known for her bright smile and energetic attitude, Kennedy wants to share her love and passion for dance by teaching others and bringing out the best in them. It has always been Kennedy’s dream to teach others and to dance. Kennedy is excited to blend her passion with her education and take on this new role as the Director/Owner of Expressions Dance Company.
