Miss Kayla
Competitive Choreographer and Teacher
Kayla is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer based in Toronto, Ontario. Growing up as a competitive dancer, she trained extensively in a variety of styles before discovering a passion for hip hop.
Throughout her career, Kayla has had the opportunity to train under and work closely with choreographers including Tatiana Parker, Leon Blackwood, Shavar Blackwood, Shane TuBog, Carl Mandac, Jac Valiquette, and Leah Totten, to name a few.
Through these experiences, Kayla has performed in various Toronto showcases, music artist performances, music videos, and choreography concept videos. She has also gained valuable insight into the dance industry by assisting choreographers on a variety of projects. Her experience includes assisting classes and conventions in both Toronto and Los Angeles, working on set and in rehearsals with various music artists, and learning firsthand what it takes to build a career not only as a choreographer, but also as an entrepreneur within the entertainment industry.
Kayla has a genuine love for teaching and has worked with dancers of all ages, from children to adults. As a teacher and choreographer, her goal is to provide students with a strong foundation to express themselves while creating an uplifting environment where dancers can authentically grow, build confidence, and develop into the passionate artists they aspire to be.
